Catching Up.....

Hello Dear Peeps....
(Not to be confused with the Peeps in my nest, although they're very dear too...at least tonight....for the time being....)

I told you I may be sporadic, and sporadic I've been....so very sorry....
I wanted to say thank you, again, for the outpouring of prayers, good thoughts, kind words, and wishes that have been sent our way....My mom is having a go at it, but is doing better....She was released from the hospital today, and is now in a nursing home (:o() for what we hope will be a short stay....They are saying it will likely be 6 months or better before the clots dissolve.  Yikes.

I need to catch up on things...and since blogging is much more preferable to laundry, dishes, and the dust bunnies that now know me by name (and taunt me every chance they get), I'll start with blogging... First, thank you to The Primitive and Folk Artists Group ("PAFA") and, specifically, Becky from Country Lane Folk Art.  In July, PAFA had a "Christmas In July" Celebration with a giveaway of 11 wonderful prizes.  I was fortunate enough to win these wonderful coasters handpainted by Becky:

How cute are these? Each, like a snowflake, is different - from their faces to their lacy, snowy, flakes....Thank you so very much, Becky (and PAFA!!)....
Becky makes a variety of wonderful hand-painted items and you can find her work at the following places:

I also want to send "thanks & hugs" to Melissa from M's Prim 'N' Country.  I recently ordered some crow (what else??!!) bowl fillers from her new fall line and they arrived today....They were every bit as adorable (and more so) than I thought they would be....

Although it wasn't much of an order (Melissa's items are very reasonably priced), Melissa was so sweet and sent me two wonderful little pumpkins as "a little something extra" as well:

They are adorable, Melissa...Thank you - and thank you, again, for your kind thoughts and prayers.....
Melissa has been busy, busy, busy, getting a bunch of fun fall offerings together for her selling blog, Prim In The Country.  She is also having a couple of giveaways....The first is for some of her sweet "Halloween Pals" and sign up ends August 15th...When that's done, she's doing another one with one of her fall items (she's keeping exactly "what" a surprise for now....) for those who might not be into Halloween (come on, really??? Are there folks like that out there???!!)
Anyway...Melissa is one of the sweetest folk you'll come upon - with bunches of prim talent - so check out her new goodes!!  And click on the link to her blog above (or on my sidebar) to enter her giveaways....

And one last thing....take a look at this:

Not the best photos, I know - but I'm having a heck of a time with the camera tonight....Anyway, this is a bracelet my dear (still blogless) niece made me....with....can you guess????  Shrinky Dinks!!! (Remember those???)  Isn't it the coolest thing?? It looks awesome on - but it's kind of hard to photograph that way (you know, us crows are a little "limb challenged...")  Anyway - thank you Tamara...LOVE it!!!

Thank you all again for your many kindnesses...they will not be forgotten....Have a wonderful blessing-filled Sunday!

Hi Robin! So sorry hon about your mom. As I've said before blogger does not give me all the posts for the blogs I follow and unfortunately yours is one of them for some reason. I really hope she is doing better, I am certainly no more than an email away if you EVER need to talk! I know how hard it is to watch your mom be sick....just know that I AM HERE for you!! I'll be sure to keep checking in with you, you have my prayers ~Kriss~

I am glad you mom is settled and being cared for, clots are not something you want to mess with and it is good she has full time care, so you can rest and enjoy your visits with her. I need to decide on some bowl fillers for my trencher, at this rate, it will be fall again;)

Robin, So glad to hear your Mom is on the road to recovery. Will pray that her stay at the nursing home will be a positive experience for her as well as you. We have been so blessed with the facility where Mother is altho I had heard horror stories about places. I have no negative remarks at all the 4 plus years Mother has been in. Love the coasters. And your crow bowl fillers. The pumpkins are cute also, BUT I love the braclet. Does your niece sell them? Love the little envelope on it. So original. Hope you have a great Sunday.

Hello Robin! I think your Mom will meet lots of great people while she's staying in the nursing home. They'll keep her busy, and it will help her heal quickly.

I love those snow flakes, they are so cute!

There's no such thing as, 'not much of an order'. I love every order. It is wonderful when someone wants to decorate their homes with something I've made. It's truly an honor! Your such a sweetheart!

Tamara needs to start her own selling blog. That bracelet is amazing!!!
Talk To You Soon, Melissa

Glad your Mom is on the mend. A nursing home will be the best place for her temporarily. We will continue to pray the nasty clots dissolve quickly and she can resume normal activities.
Love all your goodies, especially those stuffed crows. Cute!

Prayers for your Mom and family. I hope her stay at the nursing home is short. Lots of give aways huh? Love the crows bowl fillers. A wet broom is key to catching those dust bunnies, or ah wet cat ;-)
Have a great week ahead my friend. Hugs.

I was just popping over to see if you had posted an update on your Mom. I know you would rather have her home but at least in the care facility they can keep a close eye on those clots. Keeping her in our prayers. Love the crows and your niece's bracelet.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! Those are shrinky dinks? Your niece is so talented! Love that bracelet Robin! Love Melissa's crows & Becky's coasters too! Had no idea clots take so long to dissolve? The thought of a nursing home can be a bummer, but having trained folks with Mom while she heals is a good thing-bless her heart! Take Care & have a good week! ~*~Lisa

I hope this day brings a better day for your mom. She is blessed to have such a caring daughter as you.

I remember shrinky dinks! I can't believe they still make those things. I am going to have to see if I can find them for a project to do with my granddaughter.

I am glad you mother is doing better. Hopefully she will be able to come home soon. I love the crows that you ordered. I think I may need to invest in some myself. Also, I love the shrinky dinks. We did those as kids. The one's you made with your nieces look very neat. I love the colors. -Steph-
