Just....Thank-you....

I can't begin to tell you how overwhelmed I was by the outpouring of wonderful comments and well-wishes from my last post regarding the new journey in my life.  I had best intentions of responding to you each individually, but, yeah...we know that didn't happen.  I hope you know, though, that the silence was only in my fingers and keyboard....Each comment was like a very special and treasured gift to me.  You all are truly the best pals a cranky ol' crow could ever wish for.....I thank you each and every one of you for your sweet kindnesses....You make my heart happy....and it truly needs that right now.

*********
And since I've been a slacking blogger, I have some other overdue other thank-you's that I need to attend to.....

On Halloween's Eve, EHAG (Eclectic Halloween Artists Guild) hosted a wonderful Halloween giveaway extravaganza.....Four lucky folk got their Halloween "treats" an eve early - and I was one of the lucky four.....
I was the winner of an incredible zombie ornament made by Shelia Bentley of Primdolly Designs....(Shelia's work is AMAZING....and I believe I truly did wake the dead on Halloween Eve when I found out that I had won her contribution to the giveaway.....)

Isn't he just as cute as a zombie gets??? LOVE him!!!
Thank you SO MUCH Shelia....You know I'm a huge fan of your amazing creations....And thank you, too, to the incredible EHAG artists....That is one unbelievable pool of talent.....!!!

***********

Several weeks back, I also won a giveaway from sweet Shirlee at Farmhouse Ponderings

Wrapped prim n' pretty in crow paper:

An awesome "Remember Me" crow stitchery with a pocket of Sweet Annie mounted on the most wonderful old board:

And a wonderful crow and star pinkeep and some Cranberry Autumn tea:

Obviously, Shirlee chose these wonderful gifts to especially please me....and please me incredibly well she did.  Thank you so much Shirlee - you're a dearheart and then some....
Oh, and Princess Lizzi was pretty happy with the box too:

***********
A few weeks back (could it be that long ago already??), I also received a very special package from that very special lady who is renowned for spreading her very own form of blog cheer....none other than Linda from Parker's Paradise.
Packed in her own North Pole style to the brim with prim goodies.....

Sweet little waxed candles on tiny grapevine wreaths (I'm thinking mixed in with some Christmas greens....yes???):

A darlin' little "salt" diddy bag and a bundle of grubbied/waxed candles:

Some waxed eggs (as well as the fabric-covered ones you see in the basket in the photo above):

A larger waxed/grungied candle and a bundle of waxed clothespins:

Thanks my friend....you know how I love me my wax goodes....and, yes, you always can make me smile...

***********
I also want to thank Laura from Laura's Little House and Rhodes Creations.  She sent me this little kitchen towel just for being one of her commenters:

(It isn't showing up well in the photo, but there an adorable little black cat button on the closure....) How cute is that?! Thanks so much Laura!!

***********

In other news, yes, we got hit with a good covering of that "white" stuff:

(The above was a beautiful mustard-colored mum in its former life....)

The Snow Dog has blastomycosis:

My son has to have surgery:

(Or does my son have blastomycosis and the Snow Dog need surgery????)
.........

My Halloween decorations are still up.....

My syllabus is due tomorrow....

pro-cras-ti-nate:  [proh-kras-tuh-neyt, pruh-]: verb, -nat·ed, -nat·ing.
 1.  to defer action; delay: to procrastinate until an opportunity is lost.

HELP!

Hope all is well in your world...

Get your butt busy and get that silly syllabus done so you can kick back and relax in that waiting room while your 'obviously-in-pain' son gets that awful-looking knee fixed up! Man, that looks so painful. Snowdog doesn't seem to be showing any of the pressure of the blasto but I know from experience that dogs rarely show when they are down. Boy, you do have your hands full! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones. Get them all feeling better so you can get to the new job without spending every second you're gone worrying! And snow to shovel, too?! I am feeling guilty now.
But, hey, you have been well-thought of by your blog buddies.

Sorry to hear that your son needs surgery; that knee looks painful. It doesn't matter how old they get, they're still our babies, aren't they?

Now quit your procrastinating, my friend, and get your syllabus done. You'll feel so much better once it's behind you.

I LOVE that ornament you won from EHAG! I soooooo admire Shelia Bentley's work ~ AWESOME!

I've heard it said that only truly intelligent people procrastinate ~ it has something to do with the ability to delay gratification . . . at least that's what I'd like to believe :)

Love that zombie. As I, and many others have said, you must be the luckiest person in blogland. Your mail carrier is going to be getting suspicious of so many packages from so many locations.
I think procrastinate is my middle name, but I've come by it justly.

The good thing about having surgery at your son's age is that he'll probably bounce back quickly. Hope it all goes well. Also hope your pretty husky gets some good meds and is feeling better, too! And Lizzi, what a sweetie! You can box her up and send her to me anytime! As a lawyer you know a thing or two about deadlines and I'm sure the syllabus is perfect and comprehensive!
