Anybody there???

Hello????
Remember Me???
It seems like so long....
I've tried to keep up with you all in some way ~ commenting as I can, but often just reading....a shadow, a whisper, you may not see or hear....
But each of you were counted among my blessings in my Thanksgiving heart....

Not too much to report new here....
My syllabus is done, but my readings, class plans, assignments, and exams not so much.....And, yes, there are still pumpkins and black cats about....
I did finish up this punched piece.
I punched it last Christmas, but never "finish" finished it; I finally decided I needed some kind of craft fix tonight:

(This is "Christmas Eve" - a design by the talented Shawn Williams of Threads That Bind.....)
(You can't really tell, but Santa's beard, tassel on his hat, and the snow are all done with a deeper thread length so they are more dimensional....yeah - my photography skills have NOT improved since I last posted....)

I want to thank everyone for their well wishes - for my new "vocation," my son's knee, and the Snow Dog....My son's surgery is scheduled for this coming Monday afternoon....The Snow Dog isn't doing the best...he just started round 2 of 4 of medication and seems to be worse than he was when he started - but we're still hopeful.

Hoping you all had a blessed and joy-filled Thanksgiving (yes, even my Canadian friends - even if it was almost two months ago...) and that all is well in your worlds....

Hugs & Smiles......

Just....Thank-you....

I can't begin to tell you how overwhelmed I was by the outpouring of wonderful comments and well-wishes from my last post regarding the new journey in my life.  I had best intentions of responding to you each individually, but, yeah...we know that didn't happen.  I hope you know, though, that the silence was only in my fingers and keyboard....Each comment was like a very special and treasured gift to me.  You all are truly the best pals a cranky ol' crow could ever wish for.....I thank you each and every one of you for your sweet kindnesses....You make my heart happy....and it truly needs that right now.

*********
And since I've been a slacking blogger, I have some other overdue other thank-you's that I need to attend to.....

On Halloween's Eve, EHAG (Eclectic Halloween Artists Guild) hosted a wonderful Halloween giveaway extravaganza.....Four lucky folk got their Halloween "treats" an eve early - and I was one of the lucky four.....
I was the winner of an incredible zombie ornament made by Shelia Bentley of Primdolly Designs....(Shelia's work is AMAZING....and I believe I truly did wake the dead on Halloween Eve when I found out that I had won her contribution to the giveaway.....)

Isn't he just as cute as a zombie gets??? LOVE him!!!
Thank you SO MUCH Shelia....You know I'm a huge fan of your amazing creations....And thank you, too, to the incredible EHAG artists....That is one unbelievable pool of talent.....!!!

Several weeks back, I also won a giveaway from sweet Shirlee at Farmhouse Ponderings

Wrapped prim n' pretty in crow paper:

An awesome "Remember Me" crow stitchery with a pocket of Sweet Annie mounted on the most wonderful old board:

And a wonderful crow and star pinkeep and some Cranberry Autumn tea:

Obviously, Shirlee chose these wonderful gifts to especially please me....and please me incredibly well she did.  Thank you so much Shirlee - you're a dearheart and then some....
Oh, and Princess Lizzi was pretty happy with the box too:

A few weeks back (could it be that long ago already??), I also received a very special package from that very special lady who is renowned for spreading her very own form of blog cheer....none other than Linda from Parker's Paradise.
Packed in her own North Pole style to the brim with prim goodies.....

Sweet little waxed candles on tiny grapevine wreaths (I'm thinking mixed in with some Christmas greens....yes???):

A darlin' little "salt" diddy bag and a bundle of grubbied/waxed candles:

Some waxed eggs (as well as the fabric-covered ones you see in the basket in the photo above):

A larger waxed/grungied candle and a bundle of waxed clothespins:

Thanks my friend....you know how I love me my wax goodes....and, yes, you always can make me smile...

***********
I also want to thank Laura from Laura's Little House and Rhodes Creations.  She sent me this little kitchen towel just for being one of her commenters:

(It isn't showing up well in the photo, but there an adorable little black cat button on the closure....) How cute is that?! Thanks so much Laura!!

In other news, yes, we got hit with a good covering of that "white" stuff:

(The above was a beautiful mustard-colored mum in its former life....)

The Snow Dog has blastomycosis:

My son has to have surgery:

(Or does my son have blastomycosis and the Snow Dog need surgery????)
.........

My Halloween decorations are still up.....

My syllabus is due tomorrow....

Changes.....

This is difficult for me...because it seems putting things into written words, somehow makes it more real....less changeable....

And so it is....

I've accepted a teaching position....

I am truly grateful for this opportunity....but it comes with sacrifices....One being, that the ubiquitous Cranky Crow won't be so ubiquitous anymore....
It is a very part-time position and classes do not start until after the first of the year....But I have a great deal of work to do before now and then: Syllabi, class plans, assignments, hitting the books myself..... (Yeah...they want me to cover "internet law" - hello....they didn't have internet when I went to law school.....)

Anyways....I'll still be here....but you will be seeing less of me....post-wise....comment-wise....and otherwise.  I have, however, promised a giveaway (hey - I'm moving in on 200 followers and 100 posts!!) - and I will - come hey or highwater - do that prior to year-end....

I'll truly miss you....I wonder if you'll miss me....
