A Little Bit of Crow and Some Sweet Hearts.....

Hello, Hello???
Remember me???

Yeah, I know....It's been a good while - and I've been ever so neglectful in my blogging.  I said it was likely to happen, and it has. For that I am sorry, but commitments are commitments. Please don't take it personally - truly, it's not just you - you should see my laundry.....

Anywho....on to cheerier things.

First....a little bit of crow....

Check out this little cross-stitched spice bag:

Nancy from Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe is on an extreme giveaway kick and I recently won one of her kits to make this adorable little spice bag.  (And, YEA!! I actually got it done!!  It was a small port of refuge in my current storm....)  Thank you so much, Nancy!! This was a quick and fun stitch since Nancy includes absolutely everything you need in the kit except the needle....I love how it turned out (and think I see more in my future.....) Nancy has designed a whole line of these spice bags, so you can "pick your poison" and stitch away....
Nancy has tons of fun patterns, supplies, kits, and needfuls in her shoppe and is one of the most generous people I know.  She currently has SEVERAL other giveaways going on, including a huge Valentine's celebration (yup, you could win one of the spice bag kits or any of many other awesome gifts), a "name-that-floss" giveaway, and an opportunity to win her newest "Scatter Smiles" pattern.  So if you're itching to stitch, scoot on over and tell Nancy I sent you!!  (You can click on the link above - or on the links on my sidebar.....)

*************
And what's better than a crow you've stitched yourself???
A crow stitched for you by a dear blogging buddy....

This adorable little stitched tuck was a very special surprise gift from the ever-so-sweet Pam from Our Pioneer Homestead.  Can you say LOVE?!! Thank you, Pam, from the very depths of my little crow heart!! This is so perfectly me.  (I think I have my crow on, don't you???) ;o)

*************
And, lastly, but certainly not leastly....a little bit of "heart....." A gift from another sweetheart bloggy friend, and kindred crow spirit, Mona from My Old Crow Primitives:

Thank you so much, Mona!!!  A very sweet heart make-do from a true sweetheart....You know I love me my hearts and this one has a special place in this crow's heart.....

*************

As for "what's new"....Let's see, I'm midway through Term III, and it's well, it's "going" is about all I can say at this point....It's been a challenge in many respects.  Trying to cram 3 credits worth of material into 8 weeks is no easy feat - for the students or for me.  Term IV (Business Law II) starts immediately on the heels of Business Law I (sensing a foot theme here??), although it's looking "iffy" as to whether there will be enough students registered for the second class to be a go.  However, I've also been asked to teach a class for Term V and, for that decision, I will need to do some soul searching as it is in an area of law that is not my particular expertise and the term carries over into our very short summer months.

In other news, Young Crow is still recovering from his knee surgery, but, as we suspected and feared early on, the first surgery was not successful.  His knee still dislocates at whim, and he is scheduled for another surgery on February 15th.  This time they're going to try a lateral reticular release.  Heaven help us.  (Do you know how many times I wish I were a doctor instead of a lawyer???)

I truly want to thank each of you who visit and leave such sweet comments, even when I've been less than faithful in visiting your blogs.  That is a measure of kindness that brings me more warmth and sunshine than you will ever realize.

Merry Be!

Lady I think you have the most popular blog in Blog Land...always so many comments....and rightly so - everything you write about is fun and interesting.
Now you have been on a huge winning streak lately...is it something you are eating or drinking that is bringing on all this wonderful luck???
Such fun gifts and you did a great job on the bag...

Praying for Young Crow's surgery - you take it easy to dear friend.

And you know what...any of us in blog land know it's next to impossible to get to all our friends blogs daily or even weekly...it would be all we do if that was the case. We do it when we can...it's what we all do and we all understand.

Blessings Lady,
Karen

What an adorable little spice bag! That's the kind of kit I need, quick and easy and everything is there, lol.

What nice surprises from sweet friends! Helps make our day a little sweeter, doesn't it? Plus it's fun to play around and decorate. =]

Sorry to hear about your young one. Not good to be having knee surgery so young. I hope this one helps so there won't be any more.

Have a delightful week, my friend~

Don't worry about the blog, we're just happy to see you here and yes, I found it hard to get back onto the Blogging Horse after Christmas. So many other things needed doing.

Good luck with the surgery for the wee knee. I really hope there's a better result this time, dear Miss Crow. It's got to be hard for a crow-chick to have to go through all this, and hard for you, too.
Hugs always
Rabbit

Oh, and yes, I LOVE some of those things you've been sent. Thanks for the giveaway headsup
