How Hot Is It???

Before you start calling me a wuss, let me preface this by this reminder:  I live in NOD.....It's not supposed to be THIS hot...THIS long....Maybe a day or two.....(And I do love me my hot weather).....but, YIKES!

 Can you say HUMID????

Even by my standards, that's a wee bit warmish.....

So warm, this lil' fellow even took a dip.....

 Look close....in the back there....

Stay cool friends....I'm off to check on the pool boy.

I have NO CLUE how hot it is...because I refuse to stick my nose out there! Two nights ago I had to stain wood out in the garage...or should I call it the jaws of HE-- ? I haven't been back out there since. Errands?....that's for my big strong man to do so I won't melt...delicate flower that I am!! ;)--stay cool!--Jan

Too cute! Looks like he is enjoying summer hee hee, we had weather like that a week ago,in Quebec, and at least we enjoyed the scarlet red sunsets, lots of strawberries and blueberries, and plenty of ice tea :)

Robin,
It's the same here but supposed to start cooling off tomorrow night so at least we can turn the air off at night and open the house up. Our house is brick with no shade trees close so even with the two a/c's we have it doesn't keep it cool by the end of the day but at least it's several degrees cooler than outside. Hang in there! The chippy pics are too cute. Don't blame him a bit. Hugs, Lori

Sweet Little Cranky Crow, last week, we broke heat records, our temps were over 100 for 5 days, not counting the heat index. It was actually 108 here more than once. This week we have some rain, 100% humidity, and mid 90's.
Bless your ruffled feathers, you hang in there, with me & we will triumph somehow.
Today during a horendous storm, I stood in the wind and watched a crow, and a blue herron just gliding on the different currents before the rain came. The wind was blowing every direction, the trees were blowing different directions, but both of those birds just glided in the middle of it. There's the secret, don't fight it, just go with the flow!
Hugs!

I live in Arkansas, so I'm not saying anything, however, your garden looks so green and lovely and your opportunist guest is a really cutie.
Don't go outside, drink lots of tea (Yes, hot tea. Everyone here thinks I'm nuts) and enjoy the Internet.

Wait..What Pool Boy?

HORRIBLE HOT!
4th of July it reached 104 here...this is insane.
I haven't even been out in our screen room this summer - if the humidity would break it wouldn't be quite so bad but that along with heat is unbearable.
But I guess we can enjoy the fact that others are suffering with us...lol....the whole country seems to be having a heat wave.

Oh my goodness your little Chipmunk is too precious - I know they like water as they climb our bird bath now and then.

Thanks for sharing kiddo.

That little guy is so sweet and smart, cooling off in the pond. We will be warming up here this next week but without the humidity. It gets HOT (100+) here this time of the year, but then this is the Mojave Desert and it cools down very nicely in the evenings ... LOVE it!

Oh what a cute little fellow! Swimming au natural in his neighbors pool...ah..those halcyon days of youth!
Hope the heat wave breaks soon for all those suffering. I think it's cooler down here in the Sunshine State than it is up North...and, thankfully, we are getting rain every day. Drink lots of water...if you wait till you are thirsty you are already dehydrated...I live with Mr. Health...he actually runs mega miles in this stuff and carries throw down bottles of water with him. Drink water!
Have a great weekend, my feathered friend,
Robyn

It gets pretty hot here as we are so close to Nevada. It's calling for 100 this weekend. Thank goodness for AC. I say after 90 it's all the same to me. Hot is hot. That's a cute little thing taking a swim. I bet he felt so much better. You might see me in the kiddy pool too:) Thanks for sharing your cute friend. -Steph-

WONDERFUL picture of your little bathing beauty Robin!

Should likely be a bumper sticker:

"You know it's HOT when you find a chipmunk amid your rocks and water"
(then again perhaps that sounds off color or daft!?!) Scratch the bumpersticker suggestion. Still love the image!

If it continues (heat) as it seems determined to here in Nod-The-Eastern-version you'll soon note him swimming counted laps!

(Ah ha! Nod hosted chipmunk swim olympics) :-)

I think we are all tired of this stinking heat. Good news - it is only supposed to be 85 on Sunday, here in Iowa. It will be a nice break. I don't even want to see my electric bill for this month!

Hi Robin...just love the litter dipper fellow..how cute is that?

How hot is it well at 7:00 this morning the Temp read 91 degrees so I think by this afternoon it will be well over 100 and then add the humidity & lordy be it will be sweltering.. Had planned to go down to the visit friends on the boat dock this afternoon but I'm thinking that might not be a great idea..

Bottomline it is to HOT for man and beast!

STay cool my Friend..

Wow! It was really nice to hear from your Robin~
Isn't it nice now to only be in the upper 80s, feels just about perfect!
I like warm weather but not the you might die from a heat stroke weather we just had. Plus my flowers took a nosedive in that heat.
Your garden is looking lovely and what a cute poolboy, although George Clooney would work too!
Come visit again soon!
Hugs,
Cindy
