The Fullness of Summer....

I see it....I smell it....I feel it....I hear it.....
Autumn....
Creeping in on the shirttails of Summer's winds....

But before she arrives with all her golden and many-hued fanfare, I thought I would share some of Summer's footprints around the nest....

(Note camouflaged raccoon trap....)

(Volunteer sunflower in my herb bed....just for Kim.....)

(Where'd that goat come from?)
(This one's for you Granny Trace....)

(What we caught in the raccoon trap.....)

Oh...and look who came back for a swim in the "big pond:"

Perhaps I should get him his own towel.....

oh my gosh, did that chipmunk get in the pool voluntarily or did he fall in!What beautiful flowers, , so lovely, so sad to see Autumn come and destroy all their beauty,
OK, I'm still worrying about the chipmunk, was it OK?

Aww, Chippy! I didn't think they could swim... Hehe! He did look like he needed a towel and a cup of hot chocolate! Your flower beds are gorgeous! I LOVE petunias! Especially pinks and purple. I see you got the petunias with the green and pink. Absolutely stunning! They were new at our green house this year. I love them. You definitely have a green thumb. I would love to walk through your gardens. So much beauty to soak in. God is good!

P.S. I am worried about the chippy too... What was his fate?

Blessings!

Such gorgeous flowers! Beautiful colors and lots of interesting containers! Our flowers are scorched by August, even with all the rain we've had....I'm ready for some pumpkins and some bittersweet.
Love the pool boy!
Hope things are going well for you and yours.

I love your garden, those shots make me feel like it's almost evening and we are just wandering around with our camera's taking pot shots, and talking like old friends....

Thank you for this glimpse into your world.

Oh my gosh, everything is sooo beautiful and healthy looking! Most my flowers are sickly looking after the hot summer we had. I think the chipmunk should have his own towel and a little floaty device!

I love your beautiful flowers, mine I think are ready to toss. That's funny you had a critter in your pool, even they need to cool down, huh? We have a muskrat at our pond and he is creating quite a mess on the banks. I am trying to figure out how to trap him or them, not sure how without harming our own critters who frequent the pond. Thanks for sharing those nice pics.

Good grief! Your yard/flowers look like something out of Better Homes & Gardens! People are confused when they see mine. They think they took a wrong turn & ended up at 1313 Mockingbird Lane! Lovely photos my friend!

I can feel fall coming on too. Summer isn't quite giving up yet. Your flowers are testament to that. So pretty. I let mine die because I was so sick of watering them all the time for the dry heat. I saw someone put out silk ones in thier yard and thought ......hu.....maybey they are sick of it too:)
Really, where did the goat come from? He's too cute. And that thing, swimming in your pool, what is that? It must be in infamous muskrat.
Are you getting ready for the next semester? Hope all is going well. -Steph-

It's all so pretty and goes together so well and still looks so healthy. I'm pretty much down to only the plants with colored leaves in my pots.

You my friend, have an amazing green thumb! I am very envious.

I have to tell you about our chipmunk that didn't fare so well. Much to the dismay of our children, we do not have a pool in the back yard, but we do have chipmunks. I had a cooler sitting on the deck, waiting for our youngest child to clean it out. He had taken water balloons to his last baseball game in it - which was a huge hit with the team. Sorry, I digress. It rained, the cooler had several inches of water in it, Mr. Chipmunk must have been thirsty, jumped in and couldn't get out. He didn't know how to swim :( Now Daniel - the youngest one who was supposed to clean out the cooler, calls said cooler "the ghost of a chipmunk cooler". I hope your little chipmunk thanked you for saving his life! ~Ann
