The Merriment Chain ~ Day 10: My Window Seat

It's Day 10 of Misi and Robyn's
Merriment Chain...and I'm still here! (Bet you didn't think I'd make it this far....Yeah, me either.)

I gave up on finding the lights that went kerpluey on Day 4.  I did get some replacements, but they are not what I was looking for.  Oh well....I'm moving on.

The lights were for the little tree that sits in my window seat.

This tree has some of my favorite ornaments....

And on top sits a very special bird.  She's a little tattered and missing a wing, but she belonged to my great aunt, Laura. We had very little passed down from my father's family.  His parents and only brother passed away before he was even married (both parents died when they were only 42 and his brother passed away at age 20).  But my father was close to Laura....and this treasure came to live with me when she passed.

 Carry on with your merry!

Robin, a most delightful family keepsake! So sweet... Love your tree.. I know what it's like to want a certain light or look and sadly not find it... So did you want white silcone dipped lights? If go to my favorite shop and get you some? let me know... can't say I will make it but if I do, I can do that.. OLM

Christmas is so last year, and yet I can still feel the yuletide season with this post! I can just imagine myself looking out of the window, feeling nostalgic due to the snow, and getting warm with the ambiance that your decorations on your window seat give. It’s really a masterpiece. =)
