The Merriment Chain ~ Day 16: The Mantel

On Day 16 of the Merriment Chain co-hostessed by Miss Misi
and Miss Robyn, I'm finishing up our fireplace mantel (running behinder than ever this year!)

No wonderful colonial mantelscape here, I'm afraid....(one of these days I'll get "there.") Just a few things I love.

This guy is one of my all time favorites....
Made by the talented Eve from Lee Hill Primitives.

Old bulbs.
(Maybe it's a crow's predilection for all things shiny and bright that makes that Colonial simplicity so elusive???)

And a little bit of whimsy....
Just because.

Off to find some stockings that need hanging!

Be ye merry!

Your Santa's are to die for. They are so neat. I see you hang things with push pin. My absolute favorites!!! I have push pins all over my house and in places people shouldn't be looking. I love the way they sound when they are all together and you shake the box. Anyway, now you know I am crazy. Your bulbs are very pretty in the glass containers. -Steph-
