What's New Pussycat?

Ummmm....Well, to be perfectly honest, absolutely nothing.
I wish I could say I've been off visiting the royal heads of Europe....or hobnobbing with fellow wizards....or even just making strides by leaps n' bounds in what needs needing-done 'round here.... But, alas....it would be fibbing.

I'm not sure what happened....when....or why....but I seem to have fallen into a place called limbo and am having a hard time pulling myself out of it.  With nothing noteworthy to blog about, my imagination and willingness to communicate also fell into the abyss.  And so days became weeks...and now, almost a month.

But, it's a new month....a new week....and Lady Spring has finally chosen to show her glorious face even here in Nod.  (Hey, we're on Day 3 with no snow....Woo Hoo!!)  So, I am vowing to check back in, and try once again to pull myself up out of the deep, dark, never-neverness.....

As I said, nothing is new.
The bath "redo," as modest as it is (nothing structural) is still dragging on.  I cannot even begin to count the "have-gone-wrongs" but, trust me, the process hasn't been pleasant.  We do, however, have the walls finished (I think)....and Bath Cat thinks we did them to match him.....

I bought a new treasure:

  (Please excuse the glare....)

This is by the talented Janet Erbe....
Janet is probably best known for her watercolor frakturs - many authentic reproductions of old book plates, birth certificates, etc.  But she also has a mad talent for drawings:

I don't believe Janet has a blog, but she has a wonderful Facebook page if you would like to visit:

About the only other news is that I cleaned off the top of my refrigerator.  Nasty job, but someone has to do it.  :o
I had to make room for my other new treasure:

(Don't tell, but Daddy Crow hasn't noticed yet.... ;-) )

So that's it, Pussycats....a whole lot of nothing....but a promise to try to get back to some kind of normal here.  I've missed you all....

Birds of a feather, my friend...I've been in the same place...we could have met for tea! So happy Winter is finally in retreat for you and your neck of the woods. I'm certain a little Spring fever will have you feeling fit and fancy free before too long.
Love the new addition to your fridge, and the bathroom looks great so far. Did you take Kitty to Home Depot with you when you were picking out paint?
Good to hear you are out of hibernation!

I can so relate. I pretty much feel the same way, nothing exciting is happening in my neck of the woods either and with the weather be yucky for so long it just makes you feel blah. Hopefully things will start looking up with the coming of spring and summer. Love the cat pictures!

Limbo is the place we go when our emotions and brain need a break to rejuice. Seems to always happen during a season change or in the case of menopause - daily! You're not alone. Good thing your cards aren't in limbo or you would have missed some great buys.

So glad to hear from you, Robin! I found myself cringing when watching the weather reports about more and more snow hitting the north Nodland. So good to hear Nod WILL have a Spring this year! I've been hearing a lot from bloggers about the lack of enthusiasm for anything..and I too fell victim! Surprising what a little warm breeze and the smell of fresh cut grass can do for the spirits...and a visit from Brian! ;) ---Jan

I was wondering how you were doing...noticed you had been blogging for a while. Don't feel bad..so many of us are exactly where you are. I'm in the middle of at least five projects and have walked away from each of them....I just can't seem to get my act together. Maybe with Spring coming your way things will change for you...the long winter can certainly take a toll on a person. Anyways, glad you're back and hope you continue to blog.

How funny, Robin, that I too yesterday, made a post (after at leat a month) about trying to pull myself out of the abyss of darkness. I have no idea how I became stuck down there either, but it's lonely and sad. I know exactly what you mean by having no desire to communicate and having nothing to share. I hope that your little blog post has given you a spark of light as mine has. It's a small step......but nonetheless a step. I am so glad that spring has sprung finally in Nod. It helps some. No one cares if nothing is new. It's nice just to have your voice here. I like your new treasures. I would clean off the fridge off for that crank any day. Actually, what is it? It looks like a cross between and icecream maker and a scale:) Anyway, it's awesome and I love the Patina it carries.
Me thinks I need some new treasures too. Maybe hubby will take me to the antique store this weekend. Wishing you a happier day friend. -Steph-

The world shines a tiny bit brighter for these words from you :-) New news, old news, no news what-so-ever it's simply warming to 'hear your voice' crow.

Twas a long hard, cold, opressive difficult stressful winter. No winter is good nor easy but some steal more from the soul than others, yes?

I confess to only now feeling slightly less overwhelmed and emotionally bankrupt myself....

Hearts everywhere seem to be weighted to the ground this year, having trouble finding flight even upon the breezes of Spring (tho in Nod hearts may still actually be frozen to the ground, lol).

It's not been an easy year for you dear friend - so give Spring and the days coming ample time to lift you towards the sun, the whispers of the ravens, the threads of contentment that are due to you!

Hugs 'o plenty
Issy

Don't worry Robin I've been MIA on my blog too...it's the time of year for it. Plus it seems like everything around our house is sorta working...it works but not the way it should...LOL.

Well I see you are back in the saddle. I myself go MIA for months at a time. I also had a really hard time getting back into posting. The darn life thing.
Enjoy your post. Kathy
