A Whole Lot of Nothing....

A hearty hello and happy 2014 to you!!

I, for one, couldn't bid good riddance to 2013 quick enough.

We're off to a brutally frigid start here in Nod....and I mean frigid....even by Nod standards.
Have I mentioned lately that I despise the cold???  I thought so.

****

Besides honing my hibernation skills, there is just a whole lot of nothing going on....which, in my world of late, is a good thing.  I don't have much in the way of fun to report, but wanted to post some sort of something to wish you all (belated, at this point) happy holidays since I so blatantly missed doing so in proper season.  It is so difficult to believe that, last year at holiday time, I was doing the Merriment Chain.  What a difference a year can make....

Anywho....I couldn't leave you photo-less, so here are some of the new (and not-so-new-but-new-to-me-cuz-I-haven't-done-a-bloody-bit-of-hooking-for-so-long-I-am-in-the-dark) rug designs from my gal pal Cathy of Red Barn Rugs.....

(Sorry this is sideways, but when I flip it, it distorts the shape for some reason.)

I'm going to hit "publish" now.... Otherwise it may be another month of Sundays before I get around to posting.... I hope to get back on track (gee, have I said that before???)....and I know I promised some I'd get back to the "Collections" series. For tonight, though, someone's waiting on me to join him on the sofa....

I'd join you in that whole hibernation thing if I didn't have to work. Lol. Snow dog looks happy. It's been a miserable winter here too. Hoping for a freakishly early spring. Hahaha

Awesome rugs - I really wish I knew how to do that - I want a hooked rug! If only we could find a way to add several hours to the day! Hope all is well with you and that you are staying warm!

If I knew how to hook rugs, I would want to do every one of those you showed us in this post!! They are wonderful....
Be careful and stay warm in the cold weather there in Nod! Here in the northeast, we have frigid temps as well.... yesterday it was 54 and went down to 4 at night... crazy weather all across the country.
Be well,
Penny

Greetings Crow!

Good to see a word posted from you. Beautiful images, pattern, color and skill.

*I declare you "off the hook" (so to speak lol) for not hooking as one must be able to feel ones hands to hook, yes? Yes indeed*

Much the same here in - frozen beyond what I can (unhappily) remember ~ EVER. Not amused.

Lets plan on 2014 being a better year. Because even if it doesn't plan to be good for anyone else it certainly owes you a breather....

PS did you get the sledding crow?!

Hugsssssss (frozen face stuttering)

Oh my, One is prettier than the other. Wish I could hook. My Grama Carrie was an excellent hooker...I tried and just didn't have it. Maybe I'll give it a whirl again cause I am stubborn. Love your Malamute ... He is so handsome and looks just like our Kody Bear. I adore this breed, can you tell? Kody is our 4th one.

The rugs are wonderful. Joining Snow Dog on the couch sounds like a good way to keep warm and hibernate for a short time.
