A Bit of Perspective....

There are places I sometimes go when the noise of my world becomes too ugly and loud.

In the quiet, cluttered, corners and dusty shelves of these places, my troubles gradually shrink in perspective.

Surrounded by reflections of the harshness of earlier days, the past somehow soothes the present.

Shadows are no longer feared nor fearful....

...but beguiling friends who sometimes share their secrets with me....

...or leave me pensive and curious.

But, inevitably and unequivocally, richer in spirit.

Finding beauty and tranquility during the long days of winter can be a challenge. Stepping back in time always warms my heart as this is the place where I chose to be.
The simple life is what we girls are all about.

I love the picture of the lady in the snow and the depth of your words, sometimes it's nice to get lost in the infinity of the desolate places of the mind...

The remembrance of the past can soothe our pensive present and certainly level the bubble of our perspective. Thank you for the reminder

I wish you peace

I think we are all seeking, at times, our own inner peace. Glad you had a chance to reflect on how very blessed we are in this day and age.

I have a special place too when Brian's troubles are too much to bear and no one can help...It's dark, and isolated and I usually find peace there....Jan

Beautiful words, beautiful pictures! I'm grateful that we all have those places to go to so we can reflect and gain perspective... much needed in this day and age we live.

Morning Friend
I am not sure why..
But actually I do.
The big GUY!
He has brought you to my mind so many times.
Since before Christmas.
I have been lifting you in prayer.
So know friend someone in Pa cares about you very much.
