Once In A Full Snow Moon.....

It's a full snow moon tonight....

They come around more often than full blue moons....
And almost as often as blog posts from me; but hey, I've almost posted as much so far this year as I did all of last year, so anything is possible.

The truth be told, there just hasn't been much exciting going on in Nod.  I know that hasn't stopped me before (because, really, I can't remember the last time something exciting did happen in Nod), but I'm getting winter weary.

And that almost always spells trouble.....because "winter weary" is a close cousin to boredom, and when I get bored, I either eat or shop too much.

Case in point:  The following list of damages that I incurred at the antique show a few weekends ago.  (Take note because this is as close to a confession as you're likely to get....)

Sweet little German candy containers....They will be in good company with the rest of my herd....

A hinged French butter mold (oh, and a few cookie cutters):

How could I possibly leave this heart mold behind?

You better not be counting the number of chairs that come home with me....

And everyone knows I have a shoe fetish....

This red and while quilt stole my heart:

This Swedish bible belonged to the dealer's great grandfather. I never understand how people can part with their familial treasures... What I would give to have my great grandfather's bible....

No, I don't collect mammies, but I couldn't leave her behind...and she looks ever so sweet in my laundry room....

Other than that, not much is news.... Tomorrow I will be going with Little Crow to find a new wizard....  Three surgeries down and he still has a very wayward knee...and tremendous pain.  Your positive thoughts and prayers, if you are so inclined, would be most appreciated....

Enjoy your snow moon.....

If Nod has antique shows with such great stuff, can't be all bad. But I am surprised ... in the middle of Nod's winter? Hope the journey for answers and help ends well.

You find the best treasures in Nod! Love those shoes and of course, that quilt! I never understand how people can get rid of family treasures - it always blows me away when I see family pictures for sale at auctions - how can no one want them? I wondered how Little Crow was doing - sorry to hear he is still having such trouble.

Hi Robin,
You are a woman after my own heart!! German bunnies, molds and cookie cutter, chairs (don't get me started on them!) shoes, hearts, quilts, old Bibles and photos! Each one has a special place in my heart and I
am so happy you are giving them all a new home, although they would most certainly have found a good home with me too!!! lol
I'm so sorry about Little Crow and will certainly say a prayer for wisdom and answers!
Warmest Hugs and Prayers, my friend~

I sure hope Little Crow's knee gets better, from one knee sufferer to another. I love your haul from the antique shopping mini-spree! I can't understand how someone could part with a family heirloom, either!

Oh I was also wondering about Lil Crow. I will be saying prayers! I love all of the things you bought! I would say in the middle of Nod in the middle of winter it is the perfect thing to do...although this winter really hasn't been that bad. Shhhhh don't tell that I said that I don't want to jinx March and April!
Be blessed,
Cindi

I love your music!

You are not alone in being MIA here in blog land - I have not had much to post about either and my following is showing the damages...lost 75 followers this past month!!!
Your new treasures are just wonderful!!! Love the French butter mold. Never seen one before.
Sending many many healing prayers to your son. I know pain and surgeries and I feel so bad for him.
