Freedom is a fragile thing and it's never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by way of inheritance; it much be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. And those in world history who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again. Ronald Reagan
Happy Independence Day.

Poignant!! Hope your day is good Robin!!
ReplyDeletePresident Reagan was a wise man. Happy Independence Day to you, too.
ReplyDeleteInsightful words which, unfortunately, will fall on many deaf ears. I'm embarrassed to say that when Regan was running for President I wondered what experience an actor had to think he could be President. But boy did he prove me and many others wrong. And because of remembering that when Donald J. Trump ran for office I never questioned what he could bring to the table. If only we had either of them in office now our America would be in a better shape.
ReplyDeletePresident Reagan was a wonderful leader. His words still ring true today.
ReplyDeleteI love that quote. California was an incredible place when he was our governor. I hope you had a nice day.
ReplyDeleteI loved Reagan and miss men with his leadership ability and his living experience to get our country back where it truly will be great again. Where are those leaders...men or women?? Love the quote and I hope you had a nice holiday weekend up North!
ReplyDeleteA powerful quote by a great president. Long live freedom.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you had a pleasant 4th of July.
Hugs, Julia
Exactly. But such a vast difference in how each generation describes freedom.
ReplyDeleteHappy Independence Day! (Yea, I'm a day late.)
ReplyDeleteA man for his time...in so many venues. I never questioned
ReplyDeleteNancy's adoring look at her husband...the White House "sparkled" with quiet elegance and he brought presidential pride to our Nation.
Ronald Reagan...a true American hero.
ReplyDeleteSo True!
