I see it....I smell it....I feel it....I hear it.....
Autumn....
Creeping in on the shirttails of Summer's winds....
But before she arrives with all her golden and many-hued fanfare, I thought I would share some of Summer's footprints around the nest....
(Note camouflaged raccoon trap....)
(Volunteer sunflower in my herb bed....just for Kim.....)
(Where'd that goat come from?)
(This one's for you Granny Trace....)
(What we caught in the raccoon trap.....)
Oh...and look who came back for a swim in the "big pond:"
Perhaps I should get him his own towel.....

oh my gosh, did that chipmunk get in the pool voluntarily or did he fall in!What beautiful flowers, , so lovely, so sad to see Autumn come and destroy all their beauty,
OK, I'm still worrying about the chipmunk, was it OK?
Aww, Chippy! I didn't think they could swim... Hehe! He did look like he needed a towel and a cup of hot chocolate! Your flower beds are gorgeous! I LOVE petunias! Especially pinks and purple. I see you got the petunias with the green and pink. Absolutely stunning! They were new at our green house this year. I love them. You definitely have a green thumb. I would love to walk through your gardens. So much beauty to soak in. God is good!
P.S. I am worried about the chippy too... What was his fate?
Blessings!
Heather
lovely photos!
we tie chicken leg bones inside the trap, never fails to get a coon! course with the way things seem to go in your neck of the woods, who knows what you might get?? teasing, love your pretty garden!
Oh so pretty! And you have an abundance of color everywhere!
I can't say I blame the chipmunk for sneaking in for a swim!
Such gorgeous flowers! Beautiful colors and lots of interesting containers! Our flowers are scorched by August, even with all the rain we've had....I'm ready for some pumpkins and some bittersweet.
Love the pool boy!
Hope things are going well for you and yours.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! Just Beautiful...even the goat! :-)

I enjoyed looking at all your beautiful flowers. Love the brick work on your patio.

Chipmunk? Are you sure? The last pic looks like a (gulp) rat......ewwww.
Oh....volunteer sunflower - pffft! Whatever!!
He decided to take a dip and cool down...lol.
I love your garden, those shots make me feel like it's almost evening and we are just wandering around with our camera's taking pot shots, and talking like old friends....
Thank you for this glimpse into your world.

Oh my gosh, everything is sooo beautiful and healthy looking! Most my flowers are sickly looking after the hot summer we had. I think the chipmunk should have his own towel and a little floaty device!
Your flowers are gorgeous! Do you use Miracle Gro? That sunflower is spectacular! I bought some of those purple and green petunia's this year too.... they are gorgeous but have you noticed how they smell after it rains?
Chippy looks pretty darn happy there poolside... too cute!!!

Beautiful! I wish that my yard and flowers could look that good even if only for a day. I see your chipmunk found it's way back again! I think he likes you saving him!

I love your beautiful flowers, mine I think are ready to toss. That's funny you had a critter in your pool, even they need to cool down, huh? We have a muskrat at our pond and he is creating quite a mess on the banks. I am trying to figure out how to trap him or them, not sure how without harming our own critters who frequent the pond. Thanks for sharing those nice pics.

Good grief! Your yard/flowers look like something out of Better Homes & Gardens! People are confused when they see mine. They think they took a wrong turn & ended up at 1313 Mockingbird Lane! Lovely photos my friend!
OMGosh what WONDERFUL flowers!! Definitely magazine worthy!! You're quite the photographer, too! Love the little guy in the pool and laughing at the thought of him having his own towel!

Your gardens are lovely! I like the goat too! Interesting that you caught a cat in the trap. The little chipmunk in the pool was priceless though! LOL!
Enjoy your day.

Loved all of the amazing flower gardens! Did you ever catch your raccoon? That chipmunk was too cute! Are you going to teach him to sing now and be the fourth chipmunk? Take care, Janice

Beautiful flowers photos. The chipmunk is interesting also. I didn't realize that they swim :)
I can feel fall coming on too. Summer isn't quite giving up yet. Your flowers are testament to that. So pretty. I let mine die because I was so sick of watering them all the time for the dry heat. I saw someone put out silk ones in thier yard and thought ......hu.....maybey they are sick of it too:)
Really, where did the goat come from? He's too cute. And that thing, swimming in your pool, what is that? It must be in infamous muskrat.
Are you getting ready for the next semester? Hope all is going well. -Steph-
Your gardens about the nest are so pretty & overflowing. Blessings!
Lara
Beautiful gardens!! I wish my flowers were half as nice as yours! Oh that poor kitty in the trap, lol...we have managed to catch some of our silly chickens in the raccoon trap that is set up in the barn. I have never seen a chipmunk swim before!! How cute. We have seen a big increase in chipmunks in our area this year. Thank you for sharing such wonderful pictures, hope you have a wonderful week!
hugs, Trish
Your flowers and landscaping are fabulous Robyn!
I am amazed...what a green thumb you have!
We had 3 raccoons come right in our garage via the kitty door this summer.
Do not like those little rascals!
Well again, I sure enjoyed the tour, your flowers are stunning!
Cindy
OMG!!! Robin, UNBELIEVE!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! Your flowers are over the top wonderful!!! Love the goat... but for the pest... aka, chipmunk in your pool...HMMMM... won't say what I would of done to him... See they have taken up residence under my front porch and back patio... not good...UGH! OLM
It's all so pretty and goes together so well and still looks so healthy. I'm pretty much down to only the plants with colored leaves in my pots.
Oh I love that squirrel shot. But then I have never seen a squirrel I didn't love.
You my friend, have an amazing green thumb! I am very envious.
I have to tell you about our chipmunk that didn't fare so well. Much to the dismay of our children, we do not have a pool in the back yard, but we do have chipmunks. I had a cooler sitting on the deck, waiting for our youngest child to clean it out. He had taken water balloons to his last baseball game in it - which was a huge hit with the team. Sorry, I digress. It rained, the cooler had several inches of water in it, Mr. Chipmunk must have been thirsty, jumped in and couldn't get out. He didn't know how to swim :( Now Daniel - the youngest one who was supposed to clean out the cooler, calls said cooler "the ghost of a chipmunk cooler". I hope your little chipmunk thanked you for saving his life! ~Ann
Oh my goodness what GORGEOUS pictures Robin, oh someday I am going to have flowers all around and one of those HUGE sunflowers!!
