Changing of the Seasons....and Changing of the Rug....

WooHoo!!! I think spring has finally found the cold, cold, Land of Nod!
Today we finally went over the 70 degree mark without being blasted by tornadoes!!  (Actually, I think we topped 80 degrees!!)
I got to open the windows for the first time....

(Sometimes we miss spring and go straight into summer....this may be one of those years....)

Puppies dreaming of the dog days of summer (well, ok - maybe The Snow Dog isn't....):

The crab apple tree is finally blooming....

And the lilacs won't be far behind (can't wait!!):

And so this also meant I had to pack away my bunnies, my yellow chicks, and my other Easter fun, and risk life and limb once again to change out my rug at the top of the stairs (on the holder that still doesn't work so great as a holder for rugs.....)

The frogs are singing....and I'm a happy gal....

:o)

I'm glad you are seeing some nicer weather now! It's been in the 90's here the last few days & I agree with you ~ I think we're going to skip spring & go straight into summer! Your cat rug is really cute!

Awww don't you love it! You must be quite a bit farther North than we are. We are between LaCrosse and Eau Claire, far enough North for me! hehe.
Your crab apple tree is just gorgeous, mine is fading quickly....wish they lasted longer.
Happy week to you,
Cindy

Glad it's finally warming up your way. We're into muggy...I've had the fan going at night which makes for a nice cool sleep! I just love flowering crabs and the lilacs...my favorite. I had both at my old house, which used to be my grammy's. I'll have to plant more in the next place! What rug will you hang now?
Hugs,
Courtney

Hi,
Was raining here in my part of England yesterday. My fault as I thought my patio plants and tomatoes were looking a bit dry, so I watered them. About an hour after I did it, the heavens opened and pretty much rained all day.
Back to work today and yes, the sun shone all day !

Don't you just love our transition period? We don't seem to get them anymore!
It IS windy here today! I had to come in because I just couldn't get anything done! Guess it had to do that when I got home from work!
I am gathering up your goodies!
I am too pooped to do much now anyhow! LOL!

Beautiful flowering crab. Our lilacs are long gone. We have had no spring and went directly to summer. I just hope we don't directly to drought!

Ah, yes, the singing of the bullfrogs..... I hear it every day and every night. The little tree frogs actually live in our rain barrel!
I think there will be no gradual move from spring into summer. It got up to 82 today and predicted higher tomorrow. I don't like sweating.....

I'm not a hot weather type person. If it stayed 65 or so year around, I would be perfectly happy :-)

Your garden looks beautiful, I'm so envious. Mine garden here in my windswept corner of England looks like someone has held a tractor race through it, lol. I'll be working on it over the next few weeks if the weather holds but am seriously hoping the vintage ploughed field look is going to be the next big thing !!!
Have a good weekend

I'm so glad you like your pendants! That rug is awesome, It's funny how we will risk life and limb for something like hanging a rug isn't it? I would do the same thing! I am up early and have a nice breeze coming in the hosue right now, our spring was full of rain and then it got hot. I'm not going to complain though because it looks like the peonies will bloom this weekend and I have double the buds on them this year!
Have a fabulous weekend! t. xoxoxoxo

We pretty much missed out on Spring too.
Went straight from cold to hot, with only a few Spring like days.
Everything looks wonderful!
