Old Glory....New Treasures......

The very sweet and very talented Patti from Winding Vine Wanderings
has a gift....for anything with thread and needle.  You have likely seen her work in FOLK and/or Prims.  Patti is also very generous - sharing free patterns and hostessing a monthly giveaway on her blog.  And, hip, hip, HOORAY!!!  I was the winner of her patriotic giveaway for July!  Tickle me red, white, and blue!!

My package included a little flag pillow Patti made from vintage ticking and a vintage pieced quilt top for the "field of blue:"

She also made a coordinating little star pinkeep filled with crushed walnut shells (love the weighty old-timey feel they give pinkeeps):

Patti also sent a very sweet, gently aged, flag that she embellished with gold tasseling (I tucked the flag in with my needlepunched eagle):

Lastly, Patti also sent me a little Americana notepad and a very thoughtful note.....Thank you so much Patti!  I keep my Americana up all through Labor Day and it is so fun to have these beautiful, new, treasures from your talented hands to add to my displays.

In addition to her blog, Patti has an Etsy Shop and offers her beautiful work on TDIPT Mercantile.  I hope you will treat yourself to a visit....

Stay cool friends.....If you're looking for me, I'll be out here....watering....

Lucky you again! Maybe if I entered more my odds would go up. I'm looking forward to this heat letting up midweek. Still thinking about you and hoping we can get together again sometime for a finishing day. Oh and my aunt told me there's a new antique store in Rothschild, have you been there yet?

Crow, crow, crow...
Again I discover myself pouting (not that I'm not thrilled for YOU lol - just a bit 'o prim envy :-) Glorious wins!

Your garden is swoon worthy - HOW are you keeping it so lush and vibrant? Has it cooled a bit or are you watering by metric ton? Whatever means you're employing, it is beautiful (in particular the backdrop of stone walls paired with your choice of plantings). Did I mention already swooooooon-worthy?

And a pool?! Now I must depart to weep sadly whist sitting before my not-a-pool-but-instead-a-fan-sweeping-90-degree-air-past-me..(not that I am unhappy for you in-sunfiltering-cool-soaking-water)! lol Think of me as you splash about :-)

Hugs
Issy
