Another week three days, another blizzard in Nod.
The 8" of snow we received last week (Wednesday) had just begun to properly melt...and then yesterday happened.
Another 8+" of s**w.
For some reason, snow is prettier in December.
That's all I have to say about that.
On to binding....
A few weeks ago, Saundra (of Woodland Junction fame) and I had virtual, long-distance, "dates" for an hour each day dedicated to binding our rugs.
Saundra, of course, finished hers and I, well...didn't.
I attempted to work on mine again during yesterday's storm, but I've come to the conclusion that I have a definite handicap.
The bright spot in the whiteness (and the most-welcome distraction to binding) is little Miss Mia.
She celebrated her second birthday this month with all things kitty.
She has grown so much in one short year but one thing that hasn't changed is her now-trademark "skunk eye."
{Mia at one on the right and at two on the left}
Some things are irrefutably genetic.
Hope your blizzards are few and far between....

I think snow is prettier in March than December because I know it won’t stick around for long!
Love Mia’s skunk eye! I can’t believe she is two!!!
What a precious cutie! Happy Birthday to Mia!! Your snow pictures are definitely beautiful but gee whiz…..time for it to move off. Happy binding…remember, it’s all a delightful hobby not a race. 😉
I will never, well maybe never, ever complain about snow when you've gotten so much and so often. Mia will use that 'skunk eye' to her advantage when she gets older, lol.
Perhaps I need to hurry and finish hooking my Deer rug so we can do those Five binding with vino dates again.
Miss Mia has the cutest stink (that's what we call it here) eye i've ever seen - except for maybe Lyv's (which, now that she's just days from being 16, isn't as cute as it used to be)...
Happy birthday to Miss Mia. Two is a lovely age (Terrible Twos mutter the mothers) It is an age of growing independence.
I know the snow is probably not welcomed, but it is so beautiful, so long as one doesn't have to venture out in it, and it doesn't pull down power lines.
Cats often choose to be really companionable at the precise moments it is most inconvenient. Can't rebuff them - that would be rude.
Look how adorable that Mia is! Happy birthday to her! That snow is not adorable! I was in Chicago on Wednesday (19th) and there was rain, hail, thunder and lightning, plus tornados! Then 3 in. of the white stuff. It turned warmer and the snow was gone in a day. So crazy! I hope your snow melts soon too and Spring finds your neck of the woods! Take care Robin.
Fresh snow always looks serene. For a day. Then it leans toward obscene. Hard to believe your sweet nugget is TWO!! That look is perfect, love it!
We had 4.5 inches of heavy wet snow on Monday. I will take it in December also. Just when things were melting here it comes again.
Happy Birthday to Mia!!! I love the picture of her standing with her hand on her hip lol. She is a doll! They grow so fast it truly feels like a blink.
Binding I have one ready to bind and one I am working on. It will be ready for binding soon.
Cathy
WOW cannot believe Mia is already two. Happy belated birthday to her. Egad on more snow, and I was bit***ng about the little snow we got. Looks like those kitties are the reason your binding is not getting done, or maybe you just leave your rug there for them to sit on so you dont have to do it. LOL Janice
