The Long Season

{The first full moon of 2026: A rare "Wolf" supermoon. It was very overcast here in Nod but it still lit up the night. Believe it or not, this was around 10 p.m.}

{Awful photo but, unbelievably, Jupiter was visible!!}

We only have a lil bit of snow on the ground here. The rain washed most of it away, but then it snowed a little over the weekend. Your pics are beautiful of the snow. I kinda wish we had that much snow...at least for Christmas. We had no snow then,. Your Winter pillow is amazing too! Love it. Janice

No snow here, so your pics took me back to earlier days...thank you. I, too, love your Winter pillow. Your pattern?

Lovely pictures as I sit in a warm house, but wouldn't want to live there. I have one of those old copper kettles which holds some of my rolled up rugs. Me thinks you have a stitchery, or two or three for every season. Hope you'll soon be able to display a 'spring' one.

Oh my goodness Robin, beautiful, dramic photos! I was looking at or for the Wolf moon too and saw that "star" I didn't know it was Jupiter. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Nancy. I don't believe I have your email address so can only respond this way and hope that you turned on notifications for comments on this post. The "Winter 1839" pillow tuck is a pattern by Jenny Hoffman, "Country Rustic Primitives" on Etsy. I'm going to try to paste a link to it here. https://www.etsy.com/listing/89820735/?ref=share_ios_native_control Not sure if that will work.....

Wow, it sure looks cold in Nod. I’m loving the snow pictures. Not in a snowy place but I’ll send you a pic of our mosquitoes in summer.

Really beautiful pictures Robin, thank you for sharing them and for braving the cold to take them! I hope all is well in Nod, and that your feet are up, a mug of tea is close, and you’re enjoying a good book or classic old movie - even drifting off from time to time. That’s absolutely fine, that’s what this time is all about. Are you at the lake? That must be gorgeous - does it freeze enough to go ice-skating? Something I did back in the day –ahhh youth, not brave enough now!

Your photos are beautiful and really capture the long season of winter by you. It's a little longer up by you than us down here in Ohio but we've had lots of cold and snow this year too. I did enjoy the warmer days last week that had us in melt down mode. However, it's over now! The virus Jack and I have been battling has kicked our butts and we're still keeping Kleenix in business! I'm ready for Spring but hate to push my life faster away. Take care Robin and stay warm!
