The Merriment Chain ~ Day 17: Let There Be Light(s).....

....And on the 17th day (of The Merriment Chain), there were lights on the little dining room tree in Nod.....

For those inquiring minds out there, sorry to have left you hanging on Day 15...but the "Jaws of Lights" doesn't work quite as swiftly as does the "Jaws of Life."

But, with some doing, the infamous lights were, indeed, extricated from my Nodian mailbox.

After a good thaw, they even worked!

And for the 5th time (see Days 4 and 15), I undecorated...

and redecorated the little tree in my dining room.

And I even remembered to put the plug end of the light strand at the bottom of the tree.  ;o)

Ta da!!

Thank the Good Lord for bubblewrap and box cutters.

And for all of those who thought my degree in Archaeology wasn't practical....Ha!

May your day be merry and filled with LIGHT(S)!!

YEAH!! That is one of the main reasons I have 3 of my trees plain. The lights were just stressing me out when they went out. Now I have natural trees here and there with just a few that are decorated. Yours looks great! Love the lights!!

And the Heaven's opened and the angels sang!!!! Woooaaaa. I am so glad you got the box out. I decorated my two very large bushes outside in the cold and wrapped them both with the plug end going the wrong direction. Hubby couldn't beleive it!!! I am challenged that way. Argh....Anyway, your tree is as pretty as ever with the new lights. And your mailbox is still intact. Soooo, let the holidays begin. -Steph-

Love those lights and am so glad you retrieved them from their fate. I have those same lights and love them. Only in blogland would have happened. so glad there is light in your life now. As for the comment, you want to be like me when you grow up. I dunno, maybe you could just stay young and never grow up. I tried, but it happened anyway!Thank you for the compliment.
