That is a neat heart. Is it made of wood or metal? Is it a flax carder?

For some reason, I do not get the regular email notifications of a comment made by some of you and therefore, cannot respond (like you, Janice....years ago, I did, but not anymore). Anyways, this is just a decorative heart made of beeswax. It is patterned after the old German wax molds that were often used for springerle....or even just for wall hangings, etc. I love the really old German ones, but the good designs are hard to find and if you do, I can’t justify spending what they want for them when they are made of wax LOL.... This one was made by Misi Axel Robertson from 1890 Gable House.....

Thank you for your sweet comment about our dear Rocky. It's good to see you posting again I have missed your blog. I love the heart, there's just nothing like hanging primitive pictures.

Take care,

Happy Belated Valentine's Day wishes from down here in the land of Florida! I have never seen such a beautiful heart made from a german mold. The black beeswax makes it look very old, but still retain all of the magnificent details. It is indeed a treasure! I hope life up in Nod is getting dug out, temperatures up to normal for this time of year, and everyone can get out to do the things they must.

I hope your Sunday is going well!

PS, I have a pair of Crows that I feed dry roasted peanuts to everyday. Do you love Crows too or is the blog name just a fun one? Crows are so smart to watch and a great source and delight when the spend a few minutes with me each day.
