A Crankier Crow....

You didn't think that possible?
Well, think again: It is, and I am.

It is snowing again....(did that surprise anyone??)
(The road to Nod)

Ok, I am DONE with that subject.

Another reason I am crankier than usual: It's Daylight Saving Time.
I HATE Daylight Saving Time.

I know it's twisted logic and I am in the minority, but I am a night owl crow.  So, when I go to bed at midnight, it's now really 1:00 a.m., and when I get up at 8:30 a.m., it's really 9:30 a.m.  So, I lose a precious hour every night (and, no, not just the FIRST night, because every night I calculate what time it really "should be"), and I'm late by an hour every morning (no, not just the FIRST morning), because I again calculate what time it really "should be" every morning.  (Ever try telling someone you're an hour late because, by your clock, it's only 8:00, not 9:00??? Trust me, it doesn't work.)

I recover from Daylight Saving Time as fast as most people recover from a deadly illness.

The only one I know who likes it is Rajah Roo...and only because he gets to eat an hour earlier.

Sometimes moving to Arizona seems like a very good idea...barely any snow and NO DST.

And Arizona makes me think of cacti...and mountains...and Indians.

And Indians makes me think of what one wise old Indian allegedly said when told of the reason for Daylight Saving Time:

"Only the white man would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom of a blanket and have a longer blanket."

And speaking of blankets, I think that's exactly where I'm headed until spring.

Or at least until I can see the road signs.

I feel exactly the same way about DST. HATE IT!!! There have been some rumors that next fall will be the last time it's changed. We can only hope! I so enjoy your posts.

I feel your pain...here in upper MI we`ve gotten over 206 inches of snow and there`s more in the forecast this week. At this rate it won`t be gone until July.

Wow, you have had a lot of snow, Spring is next week so hope no more snow for you. When the time changes either way it messes me up for a couple weeks, I will be a zombie for days. Hang in there, I know it will be better days ahead. Hugs

Well, ET. I love this time change. An extra hour of daylight is good for my soul.
I think it's time to cry uncle to the snow gods. Holy hell. How much more can a Nodite (is that what you are called?) take?
Love the fur kitty ❤️

Our winter was bad (Indiana) but yours looks to have been even worse. I too am over this cold and wind. It's been so long since we had a decent day. It's awfully hard to adjust to this time change. By the way, it is "Daylight Saving" time, not "savings."

Sweet fancy Moses! That's a lot of snow! I can't even imagine! Beautiful kitty...so regal in her demeanor.
I despise DST. It makes me feel so guilty when I'm ready to get into my jammies at five o'clock and it is so bright and shiny outside. In the winter I can justify being in p.j.s when the nightly news comes on and it's dark outside. It's a lot harder when the the sun is shining! Hope you have seen the last of all that white stuff for awhile.

Don't know if this will help any, but in DST you "Spring Forward". So when you go to bed at midnight, it's really 11p.m., and when you get up at 8:30, it's actually the old 7:30. Anyway, we're screwed with them messing about with our time!

OMG. How are the animals surviving? They can't walk in that or find food! So upsetting. Yeah I feel bad for you too but you have a shovel.

What a gorgeous cat. And flooring. And wall panel.

What a pretty kitty. I am with you. This morning I thought the same thing, Arizona here I come. About the only thing I like about it is the daylight at the end of the day.
My goodness, what a lot of snow!!
I will have such a hard time getting used to it.
Hang in there. Spring will come!

What a beautiful and sweet faced kitty!! Such a little snuggle pal as the snow out there rages on. I think no matter where one lives, Daylight savings time is not liked at all. My questions is this: it was started during WWI, ie when we entered in 1917. Circumstances are WAY DIFFERENT 100 years later!! Changing the clock around seems makes no real sense to me. For what good reason???

Gosh I hope the snow is about to quit out your way! It is going to take awhile for what is around to melt. You are quite brave to not seriously consider moving somewhere South. But then, Poe Crow would be sad if you left! Who would feed him treats in the warmer months? CrowFriend's visit and personality are such fun for me. He doesn't even wait for me to finish tossing a few peanuts now. He flies to the ground and walks around real close to me as I toss nuts.
