It has been longer than I can remember...
...but I am finally back.
In some ways, it seems like a lifetime ago.
But the lake has waited.
The paths Snowdog and I walked have begun to grow over, receding into their natural wildness.
Life here has continued regardless of my presence or absence.
While many have moved on, some friends have remained faithful...
And some have been with me for longer than I can remember.

When I see all the beautiful creatures of this world it gives me so much pleasure and some hope. I'm so glad to see you have at last shaken off the chilly climes and Mother Nature is getting on with her sunnier displays for you.
How lovely!
It's a privilege to be close to such wonder.
What a wonderful piece of heaven you have there. Love eagles and the Canadian goose with babies is adorable.
I'm so glad that you are back at the cottage, near the water. I hope that you can replenish your spirit of joy, read to your heart's content and soak up some sun and enjoy nature at its best.
I love the picture of the Canada Goose with all her brood. Just be careful around her as they can get pretty defensive as they protect their young.
Beautiful
You sound as though you are at peace. We can ask for nothing more.
Sounds Lovely ....being by water and nature is wonderful for the soul
I must say I am just a little bit jealous. Looks like heaven. I hope you can be there at least long enough to recharge your batteries...or longer.
Beautiful pictures as always ;-)
I know how you feel when you are at your lake. I have this feeling every time I look at our mighty blue river. God is wonderful in the landscape and nature he has provided us with. Enjoy your time there my friend. Janice
What a lovely place to spend warm summer days. It makes me a bit sad that the paths you and Snow Dog walked are fading away.
such a lovely setting. You should still walk the paths it is soul healing to get out in nature.

Lovely post. The overgrown walking path hit me in the gut. Hoping your soul is finding some peace.
Oh Robin, it’s a little piece of heaven you have there. I love the lake, it calls to me and I never want to leave. Nature has a way of healing I find, may you find some comfort there. Enjoy my friend, I would love to be there with you… love and hugs, Blessings Francine.
