Meanwhile, Back in Nod...

It's a rainy, gloomy, day here in Nod with areal flood warnings posted...and extended.  But I am not complaining...we do need the rain and, while I have more outdoor work to do than I will ever accomplish, the rain gives me a guilt-less excuse.

I thought it would be a perfect time to squeeze in a post and then saw my half-hearted, half-started, post from last week.
So, I thought I would just trash the words and dump the photos...
A look around Nod, if you will.

This photo is a bit dated, obviously...last month's full "Flower Moon."
It was truly dazzling.

Like most full moon nights, I did not sleep well.
I gave up around 5:15 a.m., and the moon was just going down.
Guess it's a night owl like me.

The magnolia's fragrant blooms:

The flowering crabapple trees:

{Pretty even at night...}

My very favorite:

The rabbits are, once again, more than plentiful...

...Wait...there are more....
(...and actually, 2 more out of range of the above photo.)

...of all colors and sizes....
{This guy looks like he needs a smoke... Hmmm, wonder what he was doing.}

{The fawn was still wobbly on this day...}

{Nothing special to most of you, I'm sure, but, around Nod, black squirrels are rarer than white deer...}

And because someone asked....

Well, I was going to comment on full moons, baby rabbits, and wobbly-legged fawns, until I got to your last pictures when suddenly all those things, somehow, seemed trivial. What a darling your precious granddaughter is. I know you must be enjoying every single moment with her. ❤️

Sorry you have trouble with sleeping m'dear, it happens with me occasionally and I hate the way it makes me feel. Last night was a point in question. I tend to get up now and try and get a little bit cold whilst drinking an herbal tea, so when I get back in bed the warmth helps me drift off. Lavender oil on my wrists also helps. I suspect if you suffer regularly you've tried all the 'remedies'. Perhaps it's because we are so clever our brains don't want to shut down ha ha. I'm loving your rabbits and I have never seen or heard of a black squirrel, how lovely they are.

The Land of Nod is truly a dream! If my mind won't shut down, usually at 3 a.m., I get up and "shift gears..." I read something warm and pleasant...like Imagination Prymm. She always brings me peace. Your little Mia is adorable!

The walk around your yard/garden is beautiful. I do love bunnies and deer but have never seen an albino one. There are at least 2 black squirrels (with melanism) in my yard.
Mia is precious and everything new and exciting in her world.
As I'm typing this I can hear the old shingles sliding off the roof and scraping.

What beautiful surroundings! Mia's the cherry on top. Wonderful photos.
I love the night and what goes on in it but don't like waking up into it when I'm not ready/rested. A full moon is magical but is like a gong to me.
There was a bunny at my front door the other day. Happy June!

Mia has grown so much. I bet you have so much fun with her. Oh my goodness, in your land of Nod, it is like a fairytale to me. To have all of the beautiful wildlife around you. I bet there is always something to watch. I love baby bunnies, but they do eat everything. The black squirrels are so awesome. Then of course, everything is flowering. We are in the place why we are called the golden state. Its a nice word for everything green is now brown. I can't sleep on full moons ever either. I never knew anyone to say that before. So I am glad you did. This was a lovely post. Thank you.

What a fun post....white deer?! I wish we had one in the Creepy Woods, but we do have black squirrels. We have lots of bunnies too, but I never see the babies. I think they are hidden under the pine trees. Wow, that Mia is adorable and growing so fast! I love Nod and you have the prettiest yard. Have a good week, Robin!

When I first saw the fawn I has wondered about the albino deer. We have black and gray squirrels here. I miss the red ones which I had at my old house. Mia is a lil cutie! Janice

You take the best nighttime pictures...and animal pictures...but not as good as the ones of little Mia. She is just too stinkin' cute. TFS!

Love the wonderful photos! Oh those bunnies. Not sure if there is a cuter wild baby than bunheads. And there are non wild babies that are as cute as can be. My goodness time is passing too quickly.

Morning Robin, hope this day finds you well….. I enjoy my visits with you so much, this walk around your yard was truly extraordinary.. .. I’ve never seen a black squirrel or the white deer so I was thrilled to see but you have showed the magical deer before, the fawn photo so sweet… Love the scent of lilacs, pretty bunch there you have, wish I could smell them….I’m a moon gal and that picture of the full moon is magnificent! Mine always look like a blob in the sky, lol… as for the bunny’s they are cute but know can do damage to the yard…. Mia is such a little doll, she must be a hoot!…..Nothing new with me, enjoying camp as love the outdoors. ….Take Care, sending love Francine.
